My Story
Booboo was born in August 1992 and came to live with me in September when she was six weeks old. I just fell in love with her from the start and that love just deepened and deepened every day over the following 18.5 years. She was a beautiful little girl who demanded attention at all times and got it. It wasn't difficult to give it to her because she was such a loving little lady. She was fussy about what she ate and controlled what time I went to bed, so that she could snuggle up on her chosen pillow which always happened to be the one that my head was on. She used to love to come for rides in the car, sat on dads lap, whilst peering out of the window as we drove slowly around the block. She used to lick her dad on the nose when he came home from work everyday and snuggle into my neck all of her life. She was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism in 2005 and then in 2007 she had a pulmonary endema and nearly died. However, she thought life was too good to miss at that point and with the appropriate medication and even more care and attention, she fought back defying all odds to live a further three years. She passed away on 7th December 2010. She still got to open her christmas present, we just had christmas day on 5th instead of the 25th because Christmas was everyday for the 18 years we had her. The pain of losing her is still very raw and she has left a huge hole in our lives because of how much we loved her.
